Why Did We Leave Alcor?

In July 2004, this webpage (titled as above) discussed many issues and concerns that caused us to leave Alcor. The length of this and the number of difficulties cited might have led some who visited this page to decide against cryonics altogether or unduly delay their arrangements, and for cases where this might have occurred, we are sorry.  What was said was factual, but it could have been very discouraging.   Later, we joined the Cryonics Institute as Life Members and are now fully prepaid for suspension arrangements with it.  More recently, Terasem has offered a vision that we think can both carry cryonics out of its doldrums and help reduce problems in the future, as well as increase growth of membership for both CI and Alcor.   In light of these steps forward we must do our best to set aside what has happened in the past and move forward, hopeful that the future will be of a more positive kind.  The page you might have seen here in the past has now been permanently removed and archived.   Fred and Linda Chamberlain, April 2010
