Welcome as a visitor from the future, to this ceremony.

It took place on December 12, 2002,

in the ancient Mayan tradition,

at a beach ~10 miles south of Cozumel, Mexico.

No one we'd ever met before that day was there.  Now,

we say these things to each other daily, recall how

we found each other , think of where we

might be going, and are grateful

for each moment of life

as it passes.

to be so compelling realistic, as a vision

of what the future may hold that

we're retiring and moving

to Melbourne, FL,

to be part

of it!)

(Vows exchanged for 2742 days,  recorded 2589 times, together for 14,499 days, so far... )

Additional comments further down added since 2006, as the audio was updated.

"Two Minds" at the end was added a year or two after the ceremony

in Cozumel.  Although not part of the recording here, we also

recite a version of the traditional "Bodhisattva Vows",

one of the World's great traditions that holds a

positive outlook as to how humans may

relate to each other and  higher

life forms in general.  The

last sentence of this

 is as follows:

"As long as space remains, as long as sentient beings remain, until then, may I too remain, and dispel the miseries of the world".

However you found your way here, by way of email from us, a forum link from a posting, or otherwise, we wish you the best of everything possible, always!  Perhaps someday we will meet.

Boundless Life,

Below are pictures of a location where, on 9/22/2007,

we spent some time with a person who is very special to us.

We were still there, the next morning, after this person had

taken off  for adventures elsewhere.

If you've come this far, particularly if you've visited this page before and listened to the sound track, you may have noticed the reference to the poem "Green Is The Color of My Love and My Life", an attempt to put into words what dilemmas were raised by finding a connection with another so deep that it raised questions about earlier pledges to be with another either "till death do we part" or even "forever".  Up to now, that's been left as a mystery, but with this particular sound track of 2/25/2010 it seems appropriate to provide a link to the page where this poem has been online for some time.

The handwritten note on "Green Is The Color of My Love and My Life" mentions a talk given earlier on 5/16/1970, at the Third Annual Cryonics Conference in Los Angeles (1970).  The original notes for that talk are at the bottom of the below-linked webpage.  They help give some perspective of the tremendous connectivity that developed that evening, which is discussed at such length during the vows.  That connectivity has had almost 40 years to grow and expand, as we now embark on an adventure greater than any we could have imagined when we first got together, the attempt to migrate our identities into cyberspace, along with those of all the others that will surely join in this pioneering of the future, as the Singularity approaches.

To end this introduction to "Green Is The Color of My Love and My Life", we might observe that the very notion of a "Singularity" is relativistic.  To those riding the leading edge of it, there will be far more in the way of anticipation and the ability to self-navigate, as the rate of computation continues to advance and, self-consciously and synergistically reengineering virtually everything including themselves, those who are able to be part of that  evolving society see new possibilities and explore them, fulfilling many of the projections so eloquently and comprehensively offered by Ray Kurzweil in "The Singularity is Near".

To those who scoff at the very notion of a Singularity, the event horizon will be so close that things will happen without their understanding what is going in time to do anything about it.  They will only be able to be glad, if things work out the way we hope, that through the Geoethical perspectives of Terasem some of them will live in a kind of heaven, while others who preferred a darker existence like the rule of a "dark side of the force" might be safely in a place some distance away.  The only enigma for those of the dark side could be that those they enslave and exploit regularly seem to vanish as if they evaporated into thin air, and the exploited find that they have found their way to a far brighter, safer place.

May you live long and prosper, as you help others do the same, so that you may e merge into an endless existence the doors to which are just barely visible at this time.  If you have the courage to be part of the leading edge of this, find your way to Terasem, do your CyBeRev and LifeNaut work, and join with us and all the others of Terasem in helping to expand a limitless horizon with so many dimensions that we cannot find words to even clearly conjecture about them as yet.
